Camping De Blauwe Lantaarn is located in the beautiful Drenthe village of Wateren, at the address Wateren 5, 8438 SB Wateren.
Check-in is possible from 14:00 and check-out must be done before 11:00. For different times you can always contact our reception.
Yes, we offer everyone free Wi-Fi throughout the campsite. You will receive the login information from us upon arrival!
We have two heated swimming pools. The large pool is 7 meters wide, 18 meters long and 1.40 meters deep. It has a corner staircase for easy access to the water. The paddling pool is 6 by 8 meters and 30 cm deep, with fun water play elements for the little ones. Both pools are heated so they are comfortable in the early and late season as well. In addition, there is a 34-meter-long water slide that starts at 4 meters and flows into the main pool. The pool area has a nice terrace and fine lounging areas made of artificial grass.
The pool is open from the May vacation until the 2nd weekend of September every day from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. In very bad weather, these times may sometimes vary.
Yes, the indoor playground is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the season.
Yes, at the reception we rent different models of bikes and go-karts. Feel free to inquire about this!
Yes, from July 19 to August 24 you can order sandwiches at the reception until 16:30. The next morning they will be ready for you from 9:00 am. Please note that there is no delivery on Sundays.
Our cafeteria is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the high season from July 19 to August 23. The canteen will then be open from 2:00 pm.
During the high season we have a fun program packed with entertaining activities every week. This is in 2024 from July 19 to August 23. Ask for the weekly schedule at the front desk on Fridays from 3 p.m. or check the sign for the indoor playground.
Think crafts, forest games, (children's) bingo, tug of war, pole vaulting, and playback shows. The tractor with farm wagon is a favorite for read-alouds and theater. For older youth, there are disco nights, ghost tours, and other activities such as pool and pinball. Adults can participate in clover games, darts, pub nights, bingo, and sports tournaments such as soccer and volleyball. As an adult, you can also relax ideally while the children are having fun. Be sure to check our rates page when the entertainment team is present.
We accept payments by credit card, debit card, and iDEAL. Cash payments are available at the reception desk.
